Our professional team exceed the normal standards for in-water instruction. Divecrew believe in having the very best professionals because, well, you deserve it. Our team are also Child Safe Guarding Certified, Adult Safe Guarding Certified and NVQ Level 2 Mental Health Qualified.  Able to provide services to the very nervous and or mentally physically challenged, fully insured and enhanced DBS licensed.

Sue Coffey, Co-Owner

Sue is the owner of Divecrew with her husband, Martin. They have owned Divecrew since 2012. Sue is a PADI MSDT, Deptherapy MSDT and SSI Instructor. BSAC Instructor.

Martin Weddell, Co-Owner

 Martin owns Divecrew with his wife, Sue. He is a PADI Master Instructor. SSI Master Instructor. Instructor Trainer for Deptherapy. Deputy Programme Director for Deptherapy. BSAC Instructor.

Shani Forster, Divemaster

Shani started diving in 2014 and completed 3 years at Falmouth University in Marine & Natural History Photography. A UK diver now a Divemaster. Shani works full time in the dive centre.

Oli Lonsdale

Oli is a UK diver and works in the dive centre full time and working to become a technician.

Steve Bond, SI

Steve is a PADI Staff instructor, 2019 Elite Instructor, SSI Instructor and  BSAC Instructor. He has been diving since 2004. He is proud to be part of the Divecrew team and to have been part of the team delivering courses to the high profile schools including Eton and Harrow.

Rowan Egan, Instructor and Technician

Rowan completed his Open Water in 2002 with Divecrew, doing his qualifying dives at the freezing cold Horsea. He is now a PADI Open Water Instructor (OWSI) SSI Instructor and BSAC Instructor and Scuba Technician for many brands.

Terry Sands, MI

Terry has been diving since 2001, became a PADI Divemaster in 2004, a PADI Instructor in 2005 and a Master Instructor in 2011, Terry is also a fully qualified technician,

Sean Martin, Instructor

Sean started diving in 2014 and qualified as a Divemaster in 2018 and has also worked with the Deptherapy charity. Sean is an OWSI Instructor and is passionate about technical diving and can often be seen in his twinset! Apart from a love of diving he is also a licensed pilot and also enjoys being off the ground on the high ropes with his day job.

James Geere, Instructor

James has been diving since 2017. He feels passionate about diving and wants to pass some of that passion on, so what better way than helping others build their confidence and experience

Patrick Wadsworth, Instructor

Patrick has been diving since 2007 and is a PADI Open Water Instructor. Apart from diving, he enjoys running, cycling and being outside.

Shehab Alderazi , AI

Shehab has been diving since 2017. Diving in the Red Sea, Arbian Gulf and the UK. Worked as a public relations manager with Diver Vision in Bahrain.

Stuart Green, AI

Stuart has been diving since 2009 and is PADI Assistant Instructor, Deptherapy Adaptive Assistant Instructor and an accomplished underwater photograph.

Roger Coop DM

Roger has been a Divemaster with us for many years and is now our Trainee Divemaster Mentor. Roger likes to keep active in his retirement and when he is not diving he is usually out on his bike on adventures.

Zoe, DM

Zoe has been diving for a number of years and has recently obtained her Divemaster status. She loves keeping busy with a range of activities and is always living her life to the fullest! She is also breaking stereotypes with Type 1 Diabetes and her achievements prove it doesn’t have to hold you back.

Sabrina Artus, DM

Sabrina learnt to dive whilst on holiday in Cyprus back in 2008. She is currently a Divemaster and Scubapro technician

Mark Jones, DM

Mark got qualified in 2002 and was a warm water holiday diver until he found Divecrew in 2021. Now he enjoys UK diving in quarries and coastal waters and loves being part of the Divecrew team and being part of new divers journey into Scuba diving. Outside of diving, activities include mountain biking and cruising down the highway on his Harley. His ambition is to dive allover the world

Alan Sturgess, DM

Alan has been diving since 2002 . Qualified with Divecrew in 2004. He has been a Divemaster since 2009 and enjoys seeing his try-diver students through to passing their open water. Alan retired (early) which allows him to help teach anyone who wants midweek courses hint and Tips.

Ian Grant, DM

Ian completed his PADI Open Water in 2005, PADI Master Scuba Diver in 2009, IANTD Advanced Recreational Trimix Diver in 2012, Achieving his PADI Divemaster Course in 2023 and working with the Divecrew Professional Team.

Matthew Harwood, DM

Matthew has been diving since 2013 and was trained by Divecrew. He is a marine conservationist and has worked as a Marine Park Ranger and as a Marine Program Assistant on the Isle of Arran in Scotland.

Beth Leversuch, TDM

Beth started scuba diving when she was 17 for a trip away with the army cadets and just fell in love with the ocean. When she went travelling in 2019, she spent 4 weeks at a marine conservation site in Nosy Be, Madagascar. Once she was back in the UK she knew she needed to prioritise scuba diving again so Beth is now training to be a Divemaster.

James Hart, TDM

James has been diving for 12 years, and has Deep, Nitrox and Wreck specialties to his name and is now doing his DM qualification

Graham Bellis, TDM

Graham is one of our Trainee Divemasters who always brings smiles and hugs to the dive centre! On his way to becoming a PADI proffessional

Scuba Dog Coral

Coral is an all time favourite in the dive centre.

Scuba Dog Finn

Son of Coral, you would never belive it! Often seen bouncing around in the dive centre. A true water dog.

Hannibal

The Axolotl. Donated to the dive centre by the Egan Family. Has his home in the Holiday Area. Children (and adults) just love him.

Tony Wood – TDM

Tony has been a ‘holiday diver’ for 12 years after qualifying in 2012. Wanting to improve his skills and dive far more frequently, he completed his dry suit and rescue diver course. He is now looking forward to throwing himself into the TDM course. Tony runs his own business as a financial adviser and plays drums in three bands, as well as learning French, playing 5 a side football and walking one of 6 ‘loan dogs’!

Not all PADI centres are the same. PADI issue 5 stars to all dive centres, it is PADI marketing. Divecrew are transparent. Divecrew exceeds the PADI 5 Star rating. DIvecrew are the UK’s only Gold Star Dive Centre. Divecrew are not only main stream professional scuba education providers but most of the professional team are also adaptive instructors. We teach young British soldiers who have suffered life changing injuries serving the country in Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts to scuba dive. A PADI Approved Youth Training Facility, a schools specialist. Our team are also Child Safe Guarding Certified, Adult Safe Guarding Certified and NVQ Level 2 Mental Health Qualified.  Able to provide services to the very nervous and or mentally physically challenged, fully insured and enhanced DBS licensed. Divecrew is a BSAC Fast Track Centre for the South East of England.
