DIVECREW HAS MORE ADAPTIVE AND MORE SENIOR INSTUCTORS THAN ANY OTHER UK DIVE CENTRE

Our professional team exceed the normal standards for in-water instruction. Divecrew believe in having the very best professionals because, well, you deserve it. Our team are also Child Safe Guarding Certified, Adult Safe Guarding Certified and NVQ Level 2 Mental Health Qualified.  Able to provide services to the very nervous and or mentally physically challenged, fully insured and enhanced DBS licensed.

Sue Coffey, Co-Owner

Sue is the owner of Divecrew with her husband, Martin. They have owned Divecrew since 2012. Sue is a PADI MSDT, Deptherapy MSDT and SSI Instructor.

Martin Weddell, Co-Owner

 Martin owns Divecrew with his wife, Sue. He is a PADI Master Instructor. RAID Master Instructor. SSI Master Instructor. Instructor Trainer for Deptherapy. Deputy Programme Director for Deptherapy.

Richard Cullen, MI

Richard has been diving since 2007. He is a Master Instructor with both PADI and RAID, an Instructor Trainer for Deptherapy and Deptherapy Education, an EFR Instructor Trainer and a Diver Medic.

Terry Sands, MI and Technician

Terry is a PADI Master Instructor, SSI Master Instructor, EFRI Instructor and has been our senior technician since 2014. He started diving in 2001, became professional in 2004 and began full time working at Divecrew in 2009.

Shani Forster, AOW

Shani completed her Advanced Open Water back in 2014 and completed 3 years at Falmouth University in Marine & Natural History Photography. She has done most of her diving in the UK waters of Cornwall and hopes to progress her qualifications. She now works for Divecrew full time.

Rowan Egan, Instructor and Technician

Rowan completed his Open Water in 2002 with Divecrew, doing his qualifying dives at the freezing cold Horsea. He is now a PADI Open Water Instructor (OWSI) and Scuba Technician for many brands.

Steve Bond, Instructor

Steve is a PADI MSDT and 2019 Elite Instructor. He has been diving since 2004. He is proud to be part of the Divecrew team and to have been part of the team delivering courses to the high profile schools including Eton and Harrow.

Patrick Wadsworth, Instructor

Patrick has been diving since 2007 and is a PADI Open Water Instructor. Apart from diving, he enjoys running, cycling and being outside.

Andy Collins, Instructor

Andy has been diving since early 2000. He is a Commercial Diver, Marine Conservationist, Chemical Oceanographer, Marine Archaeologist, Sea Survival Instructor, PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, Scuba Technician, Diver Medic, Chamber Operator and Life Support Technician.

Julian Gill, Instructor

Julian has been diving since 1982 and is a BSAC Advanced Diver, BSAC Assistant Advanced Instructor, BSAC Open Water Instructor, Oxygen & AED qualified and a Diver Coxswain. Julian is a keen wreck diver and member of the Nautical Archaeology Society (NAS)

John Taylor, Instructor

John has been diving for 15 years, is a BSAC Advanced Diver, Assistant Advanced Instructor, Open Water Instructor, Diver Coxswain, Explorer Mixed Gas (60m). He is also a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

Michelle James-O’Rourke, Instructor

Michelle Started diving in 2007 became a PADI Divemaster in 2013 and went on to complete her PADI Open Water Instructor exams in August 2016

Stuart Green, AI

Stuart has been diving since 2009 and is PADI Assistant Instructor, Deptherapy Adaptive Assistant Instructor and an accomplished underwater photograph.

Alan Sturgess, DM

Alan has been diving since 2002 . Qualified with Divecrew in 2004. He has been a Divemaster since 2009 and enjoys seeing his try-diver students through to passing their open water. Alan retired (early) which allows him to help teach anyone who wants midweek courses hint and Tips.

Fred Medhurst, DM

Fred has been a DM since 2004. He enjoys travelling and has driven all over Europe. Wreck diving and underwater photography are his favourite diving pastimes and his favourite dive is the Um El Faroud at Zurrieq Malta.

Rachael Dennes, DM

Rachael first started diving in 1999 when backpacking around South East Asia. She has been a graphic designer for the past 24 years. She is also a keen runner and hates to sit still.

Matthew Harwood, DM

Matthew has been diving since 2013. He is a marine conservationist and has worked as a Marine Park Ranger in St. Eustatius, a small island in the Dutch Antilles, and as a Marine Program Assistant on the Isle of Arran in Scotland.

Ian Simpson, DM

Ian started diving in 1998. He is a specialised Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon, but also spends his time Mountain Biking, Running, Playing Drums & Guitar, Cabinetmaking, and he also used to be a commercial pilot.

Sabrina Artus, DM

Sabrina learnt to dive whilst on holiday in Cypress back in 2008. She is currently a Divemaster and Scubapro technician

Nathan Stenson, TDM

Nathan is a PADI Master Scuba Diver and has moved straight into our Trainee Divemaster program. He did this because he wanted to attain professional competence, especially as two of his sons have started diving.

James Geere, TDM

James has been diving for 5 years and is currently training to become a Divemaster. He feels passionate about diving and wants to pass some of that passion on, so what better way than helping others build their confidence and experience

James Hart, TDM

James has been diving for 12 years, and has Deep, Nitrox and Wreck specialties to his name and is now doing his DM qualification

DIvecrew are the UK’s only Gold Star Dive Centre. Divecrew are not only main stream professional scuba education providers but most of the professional team are also adaptive instructors. We teach young British soldiers who have suffered life changing injuries serving the country in Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts to scuba dive. A PADI Approved Youth Training Facility, a schools specialist.
