Deep Specilaity - Stoney Cove

The weekend of the 3^rd and 4^th June was a record breaking time at Divecrew based in Bracknell Berkshire. The diving season started in earnest with 108 divers hitting the water across the weekend 

13 Instructors, 10 dive masters, 3 Divecrew Vans and numerous students descended on Portland, Stoney Cove, Horsea Island and confined water in Slough to create 8 unique training and pleasure diving events- with divers coming from Bracknell, Amersham, Slough, Farnborough and surrounding areas – all covered by the various Divecrew’s. 

Portland played host to 4 Instructors, Barry Wilcox (MSDT), Jason Dixon (OWSI) and Debbie Wingate (OWSI) and Mandy South (MSDT) an advanced course as well as a UK pleasure diving weekend- something new to Divecrew this year. Chisel joined in the record breaking weekend by offering mill pond conditions and some great visibility. 

Whilst up at Stoney Cove, Rowland O’Connor (MSDT), Penny Wilson (MSDT), Hang Tanks and Deco stops meant a PADI Deep speciality played their part in the record breaking numbers. As the picture shows – here too mill pond like conditions made for a great event.

 Meanwhile Victoria Hamilton Smith (OWSI) took Zone 2 in Horsea by storm, with 6 metre viz (yes that’s right) and put new open water students through their paces.

 Not to be left out, Collin Miles (IDCS), Andy Wadmore (MSDT), Andrew Rampton (MSDT), Pete Dawson (MSDT) and Montem Pool in Slough – joined the record breaking weekend with Try Dives, Open Water confined training and PADI Scuba Reviews.

 And to cover the full spectrum of training offered by Divecrew based in Bracknell Berkshire, John Pillar (MSDT) and Ian Dennis (MSDT) sampled the delights of Normoxic Trimix (Open Circuit) and Mod 2 Trimix (CCR). 

Divecrew would like to thank all the divers who helped break the 100+ diver barrier for the first time in one weekend.
