Why should I do a Scuba Review?

If you haven't been diving in a while, your knowledge and skills may be a bit rusty! Complete a Scuba Review (also known as a Scuba Tune Up) with a qualified PADI Divemaster to help you to remember your skills and get used to your dive equipment again. Once you go on your diving holiday, you'll feel comfortable in the water again from your first dive! A Scuba Review can also be useful if you're an Open Water student about to embark on your Open Water dives - you can review your Confined Water skills with a qualified instructor.

What's involved in a Scuba Review?

A Scuba Review includes:
  • Knowledge review of safe diving practices and Dive Planning
  • Buoyancy skills and practice - fin pivot and hover
  • Core skills for problem management, including regulator recovery, mask clearing alternate air source and CESA
A PADI Divemaster will usually conduct your Scuba Review, or you can request a PADI Diving Instructor for a small extra cost. If you haven't passed your PADI Open Water Course, you may only complete the Scuba Review with an instructor.

What do I need for a Scuba Review?

  • PADI Scuba Tune Up Manual (optional)
  • Mask, fins and snorkel - we advise you to buy your own if you don't already have them
  • Wetsuits are recommended for the pool session
  • We will supply the major items of equipment if you don't have your own (BCD, regulators, tank and weights)

What will it cost?

There are three options for a Scuba Review.
  • £49.95 - Standard Scuba Review with Divemaster
  • £79.95 - Private one-on-one with PADI Instructor
  • £130.00 - Extended two hour session

We run Scuba Reviews at almost any of our pool sessions:
  • Mondays at Amersham
  • Wednesdays at Farnborough
  • Fridays at Crowthorne (Wellington College)
  • Sundays at Slough
