STAGE 1 of the PADI Open Water Course Theory and Home Study You will need to complete 5 Modules of home study from the PADI Open Water Diver Manual, along with watching the PADI Open water DVD. There are knowledge reviews at the back of each module that must be completed and handed in for review. Each module is followed by a brief multiple-choice quiz to gauge your learning. Once we are happy that you understand the theory of the PADI Open Water course you will be asked to complete the Open Water Diver Course multiple choice final exam.
You will receive the very latest PADI course material pack which has just been upgraded to include your own personal copy of the PADI DVD. The newest addition to the PADI family, the eRDPml making planning dives as easy as pushing a calculator. The pack also includes the revised PADI log book, now in full colour and easier to use. (RRP £89.95) As a thank you for choosing Divecrew, we would like to give you a Gift of a Divecrew Logbook holder ideal for storing your log book, papers and certification cards (worth £29.95) Pool Session and learning Stage During the course you will also attend 5 Pool modules where you will master all the skills necessary to become a certified Open Water Diver. Any extra sessions can be organized, within reason, at no additional cost. Extra Private one on one lessons are available both during the day and in the evenings The course fee includes all the hire and use of the major items of equipment, BCD, Regulators and more but we believe that our students should be free from worrying about their mask not fitting or their fins being uncomfortable so ask that you have these personal items. However as an incentive to purchase them from us the course fee includes an exclusive discount voucher against your purchase of Mask, Fins, Snorkel and Boots worth £20.00. One question we get asked is what do I need to wear for the course well a T-shirt and swimming costume is fine but most people do get cold in the pool so we highly recommend a shortie wetsuit as a guide all of your instructors will be wearing a wetsuit. STAGE 2 of the PADI Open Water Course If you have signed up for Stage 2 at the beginning of the course then during the final pool session you will be given an orientation on how to use and wear a Dry Suit. The hire of the dry suit is included in the course fees. During this section of the course you will be asked to wear additional dry clothing as it is these that keep you warm. Your instructor will explain in more detail during the course. As the UK water is not famous for it's warmth we will also include in the course fees a personal set of 3mm Gloves for you to use on the course both in the pool and the Open water and then to keep for your future UK diving pleasure.
Open Water Students with the famous Van Divecrew highly recommends Scubapro for your first Dry Suit The Open Water dives take place in Wraysbury over a weekend. You will complete 2 dives on each day and your instructor will assess all of your learning from stage 1. Please remember to bring along your Divecrew log book folders and eRDPml and of course your complimentary 3mm Gloves. During the weekend you will need to refill your tank 3 times, to avoid having to join the often lengthy queue for the air station, we also include our VIP air programme, where the support team will exchange your tank during the dives.
Wraysbury is a nature reserve and so they do ask for an entrance fee of £9.00 per day (cash) This we do ask you to pay directly as it makes the weekend run better. Stage 2 Course Fees £150.00 If booked before the end of Stage 1

I have now completed 9 dives since qualifying as an Open Water diver last September with Divecrew (including the qualifying dives), with a total of 6 and a half hours bottom time. I have recently been lucky enough to dive in Kaua'i, Hawaii and Cyprus and on both occasions the dive leaders commented that I was a very good diver from the way I conducted myself.
