Congratulations to Andy Williams for living the beliefs and Values of the EFR programme.
Stepping up to the plate and helping someone in distress.
Whilst filling up at a petrol station last month – Andy found a gent being violently sick from his car – he sprung into action – Hello My name is Andy, I am an EFR responder may I help you?
After covering the ABCD’s very quickly – he moved into Secondary Care and carried out an illness assessment and found that the victim was actually having a major reaction to a prescribed drug from an earlier visit to the ER.
Andrew calmed the victim and then assisted him with advice and support until he felt better and was able to return to Hospital under his own means.
A great example of how a simple approach and support saved the day
We have sent in an EFR Action report to EFR and I am sure that EFR will respond with a letter of congratulations
On a lighter side – Andrew was prepared to give the last rites if necessary in his alter ego …. but thankfully this was not the case
If you know of someone who has used their EFR skills do let us know

Seasons greetings to all my aquatic congregation, one was truly overwhelmed by the feeling of self worth in being able to help one of my flock, whom I found ill at the roadside, all because I trained and qualified as an emergency first responder at Divecrew. May God bless you all with a very merry Christmas and accident free new year, but if he does’nt, never fear there is always a Divecrew EFR very near. Love and blessings, Rev Williams, Divecrew PADI rescue vicar
