The week in action – 22nd

Another week of excitement in the centre. Life is never dull here. Lots of news items this week to bring you all up to speed on

Late last week saw the builders in upgrading the doors to allow us to move back to using the toilet in the cafe. So next time you get the call of nature do remember the toilet has moved- otherwise could be rather embarrassing to say the least.

This meant that we also had a major clear out and filled a huge skip in under 30 mins – why do we keep every thing thinking ” we might use that again in 5 years let’s put it in the garage ”

Monday was a manic day to say the least – courses, registration, kit sales, pool training to mention the headlights.

Special mention goes to Barry and Kelly on their recent wedding. Congratulations and have a great honeymoon. See you both when you get back. Look out for some photos coming to a blog near you. Shame the banner never got it’s invite – must still be in the post.

Lots of planning and updating takes place on a Tuesday and this week was no different. The four Divecrew trips currently on the board are nearly full. With only one place left on each – don’t miss out. However two new dates in Sept and Oct just announced.

Website was the subject of some tweaking as always – we are becoming a slave to technology. Blogs, Twitter , facebook , news sections the list goes on. Thank goodness for iPhones allowing me to multi task. “Show off I hear you now yelling at the screen.”

Wednesday – where to start!
Terry set about putting three new students through module 1,2,3. All doing really well, plan is to finish off tomorrow. Remember we have the Promotion of the year - book two open water courses and get an upgrade to a private programme for only £25 each extra – saving over £200.

The big news of the week has to be that Terry is joining Divecrew on a permanent basis – so if you thought he lived in the centre before – you have not seen any thing yet. With my forth coming Course Director appointment (fingers crossed – less than 2 weeks to go ahhhh) – Divecrew will be out and about more – at shows and other events – so the addition of Terry to the team is perfectly timed.

Shows and outside marketing – this has started to kick off well at the moment – with several successful road shows already completed this year – resulting in strong leads. We are also nearly there on gaining space at the Dive Show in late March at LIDS. We have also started the booking procedure for the Army Show in Aldershot in early July. We hope you will all come and see us – look out for some special incentives and bribes to ensure we get a good turn out at the Dive Show – so as they say “Watch this space”

Press Releases relating to my Course Director invitation have generated some interest – have already appeared in print in the Bracknell Midweek and hope to also be in the Surrey Advertsier, Bracknell Standard, Aldershot News, Slough Express and of course the brief but fabulous BBC Radio Berkshire interview.

Anybody looking for some diving on Saturday – we have some buddies looking to go diving – let us know and we can match you up!

Ok must sign off for now – back later!!!
