Another hectic weekend in the dive centre saw 8 AI candidates start their course and the first of the open water weekends go off to a rather cold start – but we are pleased to announce 5 new Open Water Divers………….. So well done to Nick Brookes, Steve Murphy, Andrew Phillips, Paul Thompson and Peter Staples. We also run the first Dry Suit Speciality course of the year and here too success was achieved by James Doel and Yev Snytserev. No mean feat when the water was a hot – 5 degrees.
During the week we had the pleasure of taking part in the Sygntena Section Fair, meeting some 30 people interested in Scuba diving – we hope to see most of them in the centre over the coming weeks.
The pools continued to bustle – with sessions on Sunday in Slough – Monday in Amersham, Private course on Tuesday, Pack session in Farnborough, with Try dives, tune ups and Open water and not to be left out – Bracknell on Thursday with 20 plus divers ruining through their paces.
Bringing up the dry courses was our first Nitrox course of the year – 4 new converts went through their tables and come out truly understanding the benefits of NITROX.
